Its good to be respectful...I think a lot of manufacturers took a gamble on the retro-look to that degree being more popular than what it is...hey, they tried!...I honestly debated whether to get a new gen 5 or a good driver gen1... If I wanted that look that bad, I would've gone gen1.

I love the 69 models, had one for years. Each gen had it's look but I wouldn't turn my car into a bast***. I still drive a 93 Z28 as my DD and has been for 18 years but my 5th gen will stay all 5th gen. Not a fan,

To each his own on these major mods, but in my view Chevrolet designed and built a beautiful fantastic car. I drive one and I don't want to f--k it up, errrrrr, change it.

I say if you like the looks of the 69 go buy a ground up restored 69...they can be found for around the same price as a new SS with a brand new crate motor!
