Some times its about trade offs....

So while I have my 16 2SS one of the conditions of its purchase was to try and sell my 06 Ducati 800SS. Next week I officially put it up for sale. While it kind of sucks I was ready to do that anyway next year as my initial plan was to sell it and buy a new Aprilia RSV4. But that was before the Camaro became an option. Don't get me wrong, I am not regretting the decision of getting the Camaro. Its just that this particular model of Ducati is getting harder and harder to come by and even though I was ready to part with it I was planning on getting a replacement. In a way I guess I did but its not exactly the same. In the end I am very happy with the way things have turned out and look forward to the mods that will come.

I could go into the back story here about the events that lead up to me selling my 2010 Camaro 3 years ago but its a long and sad tale.

Sounds like an awesome bike... accompanied by a smoking Camaro... decisions decisions. Find away that isn't too painful to keep both if you can.

Bologna sandwiches aren't that bad once you get used to them. Keep both.

In your situation I would always look at depreciation as a factor. I bought a Porsche Spyder last year for the same price as the 1LE and as of today, the Spyder is worth around $15k more than I paid for it and my 1LE will be down $15k by the end of the year. Point is, buy the bike and hold off on the car, as IT IS going to go down in value. Period.

I had a similar condition. Not with a bike, but a '56 Thunderbird. Sold it and have no regrets. Our thought is stick to the plan and never get over your head financially.

Thanks for all the words and encouragement to try to keep the bike. I will try but I do have to "attempt" to sell it. The market sucks for these right now and I don't think it will sell with where I am at. So if all goes the way I want I should be able to keep it. Time will tell.
