The comment about knives in Call of Duty in that article is hilarious ^

By any chance, was the astronaut travelling to other worlds named Gulliver?

I'm not sure, it was one of the old TZ episodes.

On the other question, I think yes we are basically a tiny marble just like the ending scene in Men In Black. Everything has scale. Imagine what the insects are like in a field of grass which would be like a giant jungle to us. But your backyard is like that to an ant. Same thing with us. God probably has us in a marble bag.

I asked because it sounded a lot like a rather old book by Jonathan Swift.

It was a parody of it.
But I look at it as a lesson we can all learn. No matter how much bigger we think we are than someone else there will always be someone bigger.

Back to the original topic, for me, my encounter had several other implications, it proved to me that it is possible to go past the speed of light, and/or get around it somehow, which thus proves our knowledge of the laws of physics is still probably totally primitive and limited. Remember, there was a time not long ago when they said splitting the atom was a scientific impossibility.
