Not really polarizing looks attract attention and that means more sales look at the previous Mazda 3 , e60 5 series and the Cherokee with the weird lights etc.

If they thought the looks are what was keeping sales down...lol. More like the price and incentives. Get a clue GM lol.

There's a guy about 2 miles from here with a yellow gen5 V6. Other than that, I'm the only SS in the area, afaik. Thought I saw a recent batch of #s showing tons of SS's, and just a few 4's and moderate amount of 6's??? (on this site)
*******
The refresh looked OK to me, but I like mine better!!!

Not all SS's have quad pipes. There are non NPP SS's out there.

i see mostly base v6 or turbo 4 models in columbus ohio about 50/50 with the rs package or not. Very rarely do I see a v8 probably less than 4 in the wild i've seen.

Mine does not have quad pipes.

I know several people who have SS's but I never see them drive them. Mine's gonna get some miles this summer. I'm so itchy to get it out and go... Just gotta let some of the salt get washed off the road (and it needs to quit snowing)

about the refresh, and what they COULD do---
I often thought an extra 1.5" of roof height would be handy so's you wouldn't have to get a crick in your neck looking at stoplights!!!

I see 45/45/10 SS/RS/LT1-2. Guess it's were you live. In fact at the local dealerships most are SS models a few RS and maybe one or two plain. Not too fond of the bowtie in the middle of the bumper like the trucks. Tail lights are OK but are looking more like a Malibu. Like the RS front end. Wonder if they would let you order a SS with a RS front facia.

In 2016 MY SS was about 21k of 53.5K Camaros built. In 2017 SS + ZL1 was about 33.6k of 83.3k built. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=515520

As has been explained, dual pipes vs quad pipes is an NPP thing, not a V8 thing. There are V6s with quad pipes and V8s without.

Changing roof height comes with a major change and/or new architecture, not a refresh. Refreshes tend to avoid bending metal, other than the occasional hood or decklid feature line. That's why the new taillamp is set up to fit in the same shape and space as the 2016-18. To avoid changing the rear quarter.

At the end of the day, the 2019 LT and RS look marginally better and more refined than the 2016-18. Since this is where most of the sales wind up, it'll be ok. The new 2.0T 1LE will help boost sales. SS will have to grow on people. Or not. If I did not have a Camaro, I'd still consider a 2019 SS Convertible. Since I have a 2017 SS Convertible, there isn't enough in the 2019 to make me want to trade it for a 2019.

Do you think they'd ever stretch that roof up a little? Us old farts can get a stiff neck pretty easily!

The base cars don't look much better IMO.

It looks like a humpback whale feeding

Could happen with Gen 7. Depends on what the bandwidth of A2XX is in terms of cowl height vs hood length. When my top is up, I pull up to where I can only see the GREEN light. The RED and YELLOW are of no interest to me if I am stopped. When my top is down, there's obviously no issues.

it's a Camaro enthusiast site. of course you're going to hear everyone's opinion on the SS.

also, just because you don't have, or won't buy an SS, doesn't mean your opinion is not as important as someone who does/will buy an SS.

What a silly thread.
