Factory Standard Immobiliser ? 2010 to 2014

Could we have help in the UK Forum about this item and proof from/of any Chevrolet official documentation... to use for our UK Car Insurances.

Do they have OnStar in the UK?
If not, what about the factory Sticker? Should mention "anti theft system" or something.
Does your car have that flashing red light on the dashboard when you tuen it off?

Check your owners manual. Page 1-9, goes into detail about the OEM anti-theft system and immobilizer.

Thanks guys, our insurance companies want a certificate???? It's clearly alarmed and immobilized but unless they came to view the car they will not take our word for it. Most are just desk people and have no idea what a chevy is, never mind a camaro. Daewoo 1.0 and the get it, v8 they don't have a clue! The manual is a good start but thought the question might enlighten us to other info...

More UK Baronial money-laundering S***e :-(
So £250+ to reinstall an alarm system over the top of what already exists just to get a piece of Paper to help some desk jockey hide behind it like the spineless thicko' cretains they are!!

I guess your best option would be to contact your Chevrolet dealer where you purchased the car.

As far as I know, none of the US cars have any type of certificate like you are asking about.

So perhaps the cars destined for export to other countries might have other paperwork that goes along with the local laws and/or policies.

I would ask the dealership if I were you. Never heard of alarm certificates before. If there is a sticker, it should be located on the driver side window. I'm pretty sure your dealership can help you out with that.

Off topic: It's so nice to hear from England again. I used to live there for 5 years...mainly in Surrey as I worked at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital. It was ridiculous though that we have to pay for a tv license before we can use it. All in all, it was a great experience and fun place to live in.

I think the nearest authorized dealership is Robert Bowett Motoring in West Yorkshire. The nearest official dealership is Sherwoods based in Stockton on Tees. Both are at least 20mi away from you, I'm guessing...maybe a 20-30min drive.

I will come to visit UK again as soon as I can...right now, I'm tied up with the military.

Factory Standard Immobiliser ? 2010 to 2014

Thank you for searching Delta6 :-)
Most of the UK Chevrolet Dealerships don't have a GM license for Camaro work so they refuse to help :-(
The nearest is WH Brand 133 Miles 2.5 hrs away £60+ fuel (and it's a hike + a stay over hotel for any work as it always takes longer then one expects).
Be safe in your work!
Best wishes, JamesR [redleader]

I believe we only have one official dealer importer and a couple of non dealer importers. Camaro's this side of the pond are a rare breed. You are more likely to see a Ferrari on the road than a camaro.
Most of us do personal imports, which means no warranty or support.

Been to the UK a few times, but it has been several years.

Very first time there, flew into Gatwick and our office staff picked us up and took us on a little sight seeing tour down to Brighton.
Imagine my surprise when I spotted a 1969 Dodge Charger driving around.

Then when we got back up to our office the next day (Ripley, Derbyshire), there was a late model C4 Corvette in the "car park".

Can't imagine trying to drive a left hand drive car on the left side of the road.
I had a hard enough time with the rental and trying to shift with my left hand.
