2014 RS Camaro moisture in tail lights?

I am getting my tail lights tinted and the shop called me to let me know about the moisture in the right tail light. I called chevy and one of the service guys said it was normal in Florida with the humidity. As anyone else experienced this?

Not me, but I'm in New York. Humidity can get high here but it's not constant.

Sounds like the moisture wasn't visibly noticeable from the exterior of the light, in which case many people might have moisture issues and not even know about it.

I can't speak from experience or expertise, but considering this is a plastic component without a seal, I would think that this isn't abnormal. May have just accumulated at the precise time the shop was removing the light.

Not normal, and needs to be fixed. I would hold off on the tint as they (The service Dept) can say the seal was broken when the tint was installed and not honor the warranty.

Depends on the amount. If there's condensation (visible drops forming) then it's an issue. If not, then no, it's not really a problem.

Most of the lights are designed to let in air, they are not sealed units. But if the rest of the seal on the taillight has gone bad, it will let in too much moisture and cause condensation and needs to be replaced.

I had this happen to my car when I only had it two weeks. I went to local dealer and was told it was normal for it to happen. Then they got a paper from GM saying it was normal on the Camaro. I went to another dealer and they replaced it right away no question asked. Try a different dealer and you will see.

I noticed this the next morning, lens had a hair line crack where the backup and brake plastics meet. Replaced under warranty.

Have had my car for 11 months and just noticed the condensation for the first time yesterday, in the left tail light only. 1st picture was yesterday and the second picture is from today. No moisture remaining on the side, now it is in the reverse light. For those that have had the light replaced, can you give me an idea how long it took the dealership to replace the lense? Funny how some dealers say normal and others replace the light

It should take a week or two to get the part in then depending on if the dealership you went has a good service team/body shop it should take around 3 hours.
