The Break-in: What will be your process?

I have read what seems to be 1,000 posts around breaking in a V8 properly and making sure your car is running right from the get-go. Now, this is not my first V8, but my first already had 45K miles on it so I missed the boat. But this will be the highest performance car I have ever purchased.

So for this V8 here is the break-in process I will use.

Sledgehammer's Break-in Process:
1.) Drive for 1,500 miles (no crazy rev's, no burnouts, no racing etc...)|
2.) Oil change (empty, plus clear 2 extra quart of fresh oil)
3.) Drive fairly easy for the next 100 miles
4.) Have fun!
5.) Dyno it

Post your process below.

Calm OTW home from the dealer(90mi).
Calm-"ish" another 400mi.
Hard just prior to oil change.
Change oil.
Now it will be driven like its meant to be driven. Hard.

Will drive gently for a few days, till i get an oil change.

Dealership to home is 364 miles
Will drive around DFW area for about 50 miles (dealership to tint, hardwire radar kit installed, friends home, lunch/dinner).

So when I get home, I'll rip it just a little bit, then get my oil change done. Not gonna be using the dexos 1, instead will use mobil 1 (dexos is still good but not as good as mobil one). Since we get some free oil changes, I am sure I can pay the very little extra if any to "upgrade" to Mobil 1.

I will take it easy the first 500 or so miles, no high revs, try to keep it under 55 -60, etc., then change oil. After that probably ease into a little harder for the next few hundred miles, then drive it and have fun. My '98 SS I pretty much did this and took care of her big time. I had lots of fun but never beat the piss out of it, just something I can't do on a car like this.

Yeah. 500mi could be achieved NORMALLY, in about a month. Im going to have to find excuses to drive it. Lol. Shouldn't be a problem! I would say though, that the HEAT CYCLES are likely more, or at least-equally, important in break-in. So keep that in mind.
