There are still 2015 ZL1 verts in Canada at dealers for $70k.....although that will definitely change when the new Z arrives.....unless the new Z is at $80k, then I suspect the value in the 2015s will still b there.

I'm on the list at classic and my sales rep has assured me just what you have said. No markup, sold at msrp. Shall see....
I do not believe you will have a problem. Classic has stood by their statement of nothing marked up above MSRP. Stingray Chevrolet is owned or affiliated with Classic Chevrolet somehow and they have the same mantra, no fees above MSRP. Plus they only charged me a $99.00 dealer fee. Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people you will ever meet. Their policy is the same, nothing added to MSRP and they treat you like you are family. You should be in good hands at Classic.

When you say "on the list at Classic", you're saying that dealership has an ordering list for the ZL?
I've been to my dealership, and they 'don't know anything', and haven't mentioned a list... should I be asking the question?

Nevertheless...It was a magazine estimate, and on top of that...the prices for these cars are normally inflated beyond the conversion factory in Europe. Sure would be nice to offer a reasonably-priced T4 Camaro in Europe to give them a style choice that wouldn't be killed by displacement taxes... |

Whats the justification for it going up by $10K? That's crazy. I was pretty shocked by how much a 6th gen increased in price 1SS to 1SS. That kind of increase in a ZL1 would definitely keep me out of one.

I wonder when they will release pricing? Maybe right after Indy 500, sometime in June?

Sorry, but this is just bulls...!! On the beginning the zl1 will be almost 90'000 - 100'000 In germany for sure 80'000 euro. Who will be the first in germany, which deliver zl1. Geigercars, you know these prices. After 1 - 2 years the prices will drop to 65-75 tousands. It depends how much of them will be imported. I dont think, then gm will officaly export their zl1 to europe. It will be just greymarket, and then the price are much different. You can't compare us price to europe price. Look the prices of the 5th gen zl1 now and also on launch . I paid for my zl1 more then 85000 euros. |

Dealer list
It is a pre-order list for the allocations that the dealer will get. I also am on a pre-order list at Classic here in the Houston area. As of right now I am #6, but as the allocations come in and ordering starts I will probably move up do to some not wanting to wait, changed their mind or bought something else. Classic also does not require a deposit as some others do.

1) The 10 speed transmission is GM's next evolution in drivetrain...while new, it's not rare or "special" in that they're planning to put it in 8 or 10 (I forget) vehicles by 2018. While the 8 speed was more expensive than the 6 speed was more expensive than the 4....this one was developed together with Ford. It might not be terribly expensive....I hope. 2) The new ZL1 will be the same formula as the last gen. I'm actually impressed at how remarkably similar it is...just raised to a new level. They won't be price gouging just because they know they can...it's a Camaro, and no matter how expensive the equipment is, a Camaro is a Chevrolet, and Chevrolets offer bang-for-your-buck value. 3) The rest of the Camaro lineup got about 6%-7% more expensive vs the outgoing cars, equipped similarly. So did Stingray. Despite both including much more advanced features and equipment. If you apply that increase to the ZL1...the price guesstimate is hovering around $60k.... ...fingers crossed. |
