Camaro = Firebird. That has always been the equation. People who say "Looks like a camaro!" are car NOOBS. Beautiful fire chicken OP.

(Yes I know some fire chickens early on had different engine options, my 72 has a 455. But they were the same damn car as the camaro save for the front and rear ends.)
Camaro/Firebird same assembly line

All true, and now TA Depot has engine options that are exclusive and proprietary to the Trans Am, not just a modded SS motor.

A couple updated photos. The bird will be painted on instead of a decal. Car will be newly revealed at SEMA in two weeks and then be back in my driveway the day after the show ends.

After a long wait, the car is finished at SEMA and will be in my driveway later this week. Will post some photos and impressions.

BTW, you all helped convince me to go with the classic snowflakes on my car versus a gold version of the wheels that are on the blue car.

It was the right choice for sure.

Car being done in Tampa? Ronnie Setser doing it? I was at one of his cars shows last month and he mentioned doing the conversions.

Trans Am Depot in Tallahassee. They are the only company who can legally label a car as a "Trans Am." (And this includes GM.)

Interesting, I didn't know enough about it to question him further.

After a quick post-SEMA trip back to Trans Am Worldwide in Florida for some tweaks, the car is finally on its way back to me. Should be here in Phoenix tomorrow. (Sorry for the dark photos, it left late last night.)
