2012 ZL1 strange noise after solid isolator replacement - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi everyone,

I own a manual 2012 ZL1 and a couple of weeks ago I replaced the solid isolator because of the supercharger rattle. After this I started to notice a strange noise when I accelerate in low revs. The higher the gear the noisier it gets, but after it goes above 1,000 rpm approximately the sound completely disappears. I don't know if this is a normal sound that can be expected after the replacement. Here is a video of it (interior sound is a bit loud so it is difficult to notice but that was my best shot). Any help would be appreciated.

I couldn't hear anything as far as engine noise in the video.

For the past five years I have been here, this is where ZMEnow offers some technical information based on experience and aquired knowledge. I would hope this is not the result of recent exchanges of opinion here. Though my car is bone stock, I appreciate all I've learned from these members of this forum.

That sounds like a lose rattle can nose inside the cab?

Maybe take a vid of the engine bay and have someone rev the engine a bit to verify.
