Wet driving!
I'm fixing to take a trip to hometown Jackson, Ms to show off new Z. IF it should rain, should I change to wet mode for better traction?? Thanks

Is the wet mode only on the ZL1s?

You can just leave it in touring where it is when you start the car. I usually go to PTM1 for the fun of it and compare the difference. Both work fine.

I would definitely run in wet mode in the rain. And also be careful! There have been many ZL1 accidents and some in the rain. 580HP and rain do not go well together, add those tires and you are set up for an accident waiting to happen. Respect the car!

I imagine it would suck to live in Seattle with this car. This car terrifies me in the rain. Even driving slow and respectfully at 55 mph in a 70 mph zone on the highway the rear end still wants to fishtail. Also the manual tells you that wet mode is not intended for anything other than light rain. I was a bit puzzled by that.

How many miles on your tires? Are they the stock Goodyears? I can stay near 70 even in heavy rain with mine. Only about 6000 miles on them.

PTM1 is helpful if you have to pass, etc. If you have a manual and throw it down a gear and get on it to pass, you will go to ditch without PTM1. If you go hard you may end up in a ditch even with PTM1, cause the ZL1 is a badass!
