I'm gonna save enough till I can get in the payment range I want finance it and pay it off early if anything. Not married so really don't have to worry bout that yet. I'm kinda wanting to get now before I do get married if I ever do so I don't have to negotiate with anyone about it lol
You find someone you really want to spend the rest of your life with, this will not be an issue. When i first met my wife, she soon understood that i had a severe addiction to motorsports, car shows, cars, automotive photography, and the automotive lifestyle in general. We work at accommodating both of our...umm, unique qualities/preferences. ;-) hahaha

I'm with motorhed for the most part.

If you have 15k to put down, then put the 15k down & pay the thing off as fast as possible. There's no reason to live beyond your means.

Also, why the obsession over the LS7?

I did some dumb stuff growing up and now I'm paying for it but I'm not gonna let that stop me.
YOU SHOULD hold your head up high , some of those kids that did the same things you did when young and .... will be doing the same when older and then daddy would not be there for them much longer , so stay on course man because [the things we earn by ourself ] taste way better than handed to you !!!

I see your point about value but I don't plan on ever selling it. Plan to keep it till Christ comes again lol. And why I like the ls7? Hmm to much to try to explain I just do lol.

But will make sure I'm not getting ripped off. Although when it comes to those kind of cars pricing is not always very fair. Its just one of those gotta pay to play things sometimes not always

Hey ill be the first to say i love the z06 and my ss but i worked at a car lot for a couple of years so look at it this way the z06 cost what 80k plus msrp and it is 4 years old selling for 40k thats 10k a year drop. look at the used ss's they are not droping but just a few thousand i know cause i was thinking about buying mine used to save some money. Then realized it wasn't worth saving 3 to 4 thousand and driving someones sloppy seconds. But hey either way u go your gonna have a bad a$$ car so do what you want i was just showing you the numbers.

"Opinions are like...

A-holes... everyone has one". You have to go with what your gut tells you. No one will be happy with your choice but you. You have asked for reader's two cents and they are quite willing to give it freely. Knowledge is power and it could be power over your finances if you listen to those that have made some bucks along the way or fell in a hole and climbed out. I am like you, a self-made man who has earned EVERYTHING since I was 10 years old. Buy what YOU want...but buy within your means (cash is always nice). They called the Camaro the "Poor Man's Corvette" for a reason. Either way both cars are absolutely primo! Now go get it!!!

My dad actually had an 08 z. It was a great car. I was going to take it but divorce and some other stuff led to him just selling it out right. but he didn't get what he paid for it thats for sure. But you gotta get what you want don't let people in a chat room pick lol you have to drive it not us. lol
