Nick named my 2ss after Deroit
I grew up in Detroit in the 50/60s when the term "muscle car" was being carved out on Woodward between 10 Mile & 18 Mile roads. This stretch was, literally, the testing track for GM & Chrysler.
Also, love Motown music. Result: nick named the 2SS "Motown Steel". |

As a Michigan native myself, I was pretty honored to open up the door of my 1LE for the first time to see the "made in Michigan " sticker on the door. Invoked a sense of pride for sure!

I grew up in Detroit at the same time; I remember Woodward Avenue and the whole car scene.
So glad the pony cars have grown up into real sports cars.

Dream Cruise time!! (Next month) Hope you get to display your 'hometown love' for the home team cruising up Woodward (11 Mile - Maple Ave) is the best part of the strip!

have never been to the dream cruise or woodward ave,but a friend grew up there and used to tell me about the racing scene there.if any of you old timers remember a black GTO with "good vibrations "on the fender that was him.
