People always yell at me when I suggest reading the owner's manual...I didn't read the whole thing either.

It took me two years to discover that the steering wheel telescopes. All my previous cars had either tilt only, or nothing.

Haha!

...but didn't you notice it roll down slightly when you open the door from the outside?

But this makes a good point. I need to read up on how to get into the car without breaking a window if the battery dies. I don't recall there being a lock cylinder on the trunk, and unlike a Jeep, I can't just open up the hood!

You can still open the door the old fashioned way with your key but the glass will rub against the trim. I enjoyed that experience like a shotgun blast to my face.

That's the way. I had to dig out the manual just to find out where the battery was. Thank God for the those charging posts.

When I purchased the car the salesman told me about indexing, because they had lots of owners bringing their Camaros back for servicing.

Because when you discount the battery or the battery goes dead then you have to reprogram the indexing

That would be my guess. Or the poster is being a smart ass.

Yeah, just wasn't sure if it was possible to actually get the window out from under the trim without bending or breaking anything. Good to know.

Lighten up man, instead of pointing at the OP and calling him an oblivious idiot, we're laughing with him and discussing the other perils of window indexing
