3 years of ownership and the only real concern I had was the strength and durability of the rear-end. I had basic bolt-on's (415RWHP) and never had a problem, but was always leery of dropping the clutch too hard.

My car was a relatively early build #25,236 and the only "issue" I had was the rear deck spoiler nuts came lose on one side. Took 10 minutes for me to fix permanently. Nothing ever required a trip to the dealer. Maybe I was just lucky but it was an excellent ownership experience which led me to purchase another GM vehicle.

You name ive had it, just in the past month. More time in the shop than on the road. #6 valve spring snapped, timing cover and rear axle seal replaced, now no gears in transmission, still in shop waiting on diagnosis. Not ran hard, wife drives it to work and for groceries. Valve spring broke while doing 35mph in 4th. Smell of burning oil and coolant 2 weeks later prompted timing cover and driver side seal replace, shifting from 1 to 2nd at 3500 rpm caused loud pop and then coast to side of road. It would not go into any gear. This has all happened since oct 28 and less than 1500 miles put on since then. It has 41500 miles on it. I must say dealership has repaired all under warranty and provided me a rental. Just a little upset with bad build.

it seems just about everyones oil cooler leaks with a SS. mine was repaired under warrnety regardless of mods done.

i treat my car very well, so it might not face problems a daily driver will might have.

I hear that (when I'm not braking lightly to a stop).

Apparently, it's "normal."

Right now, a little oil leak. Not sure where it's coming from yet. Still need to get up under there and look. Oh and the dreaded brake squeal. I've pretty much learned to ignore it.

Whenever I rev mine, an awful smell comes out of the exhaust. Not sure if its the oil because that got changed not too long ago but if someone can help me out with that, I'd appreciate it

We apologize for the dissatisfaction you have been experiencing with your Camaro. However, it is great to hear that your dealership has covered everything under warranty. We will definitely document this feedback into our database so that many departments of GM can access the information.

No current concerns, my car runs good.

Worries: (now out of warranty).
A heater core replacement would require the entire dash and windshield removed
which is a pathetic design.

LLT occasional reports on C5 of timing chains going out between 40-60K miles.

GM denying my warranry coverage on a broken axle on a stock unmodified car concerns me a whole deal...especially when I paid for an extended warranty!
