Rear gear ratio with supercharger

So I was talking with several people about the best gear ratio to have with a supercharger. I have the M6 trans I feel the 3.45 I have is good but they said 3.73 or 3.91 would be better. Was told the factory supercharged came with 3.73 Anyone out there have different gear setup with a supercharger?
Thanks

I stayed with 3.45s after adding a supercharger. I have had a lot of problem getting it to not spin tires in 1st gear and the guys I've talked to said 3.91s would make it worse by adding more torque.

I did upgrade to trutrac as the posi didn't last long.

I have 3.45's. I can't hook in first, half the time I can't hook in second with road course 305's on the rear unless it's a new good road. Strictly racing at the track with slicks, sure go 3.91's. Street driving it will be pretty useless. I won't change mine until I blow the rear then go with a ZL1 diff with 3.73. Depends how far you go with the power too. Before the cam last year I was getting traction in first most of the time on a hot day at 595WHP 500WTQ.

I have 3.73. Too much gear for my hp and torque. I wish 3.50ish was available for the ZL1 pumpkin.

also depends on which supercharger...with a centri you can go with a little more gear.

I've been contemplating upgrading the gear set as well since adding the Maggie..... I've read a numerous threads that upgrading to a 391 makes it a different beast. I don't road race it, it's primarily a weekend warrior. With a M6 I'm sure drivability would still be there? Not sure I want to wait until I tear something up to upgrade.

Drivability is fine, traction is the problem.

I agree with what everyone else is saying on a PD blower, traction will be a issue. If your not launching it, or doing a ton of freeway driving. I can see it being fun.

I have the 3.91 and Z28 wheels (19") with 305's but my torque is lower than most due to my current setup. First gear is useless, second gear can be a challenge depending on road surface and temperature, third gear is where is gets fun.

Sounds like it might be something I would like. No road racing in just a weekend warrior with maybe a trip to the track just to see what it will do. Wonder what the cost will be? Thanks everyone!!

3.73 has always been the perfect middle of the road gear...imo.
