Looks great. I am also a fan of de-badging as I prefer the clean look.

I took mine off to, although I agree it does look good with them off I've decided to put them back on. Just wasn't feeling it.
I ordered a painted set to make it a little different especially since I can't stand anything chrome, real or plastic...........

I used my wife's hairdryer and some 12# test fluorocarbon fishing line.
I was apprehensive about using the heat gun. I took a 45 minute drive on a warm day and got an idea of how hot the hood extractor was (water deflector in) and tried to keep the temps close to that with the dryer. I just gently flossed them off. I did the same on the rear bumper.

Then just cleaned it up with a clearcoat safe bug/tar remover and a finishing polish with an RO.

I just could not bring myself to pull the bowtie.

Thanks guys...girls! I agree, it really cleans up the look. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely proud to own a ZL1 and proud of it's Camaro heritage. It's just a little personalization that is effortless and inexpensive to return to stock if need be.

Roger that. We share that pet peeve. The simulated chrome frame around the bowtie looks a little cheesy. I love that black bowtie though, I just can't bring myself to pull it.
I also replaced the chrome lug nuts with black ones. IMHO the only eyesore on the entire car are those chrome lug nuts.

I agree something simple can go a long way.
Would love to exchange the chrome flow-tie in the front with another color but it looks like it's not made to come off, or should I say not worth the effort. Maybe if I have to take the bumper off for some reason I'll check out what my options are.
I pulled the rear bowtie and the emblem off the rear bumper. I thing the rear looks great bare especially with the 1LE darker tail lights.
I was thinking about doing the lug nuts too. Where did you find your replacements, how is the contrast in color to the wheels?

I found these on Amazon for a fair price.

I think that they look pretty good. Good color/finish match.
