Ignition Retard

The few that are using nitrous, what are you using to retard the timing? Lingenfelter has a plug and play box but I'm still waiting on a call back as to when it will be available again.

I don't want to pull the timing out of the regular tune. I have a couple of ideas on how this can be accomplished but would appreciate hearing your solutions

Ive wondered this also. I will probably go with lingenfelter, but its interesting to see what others have tried.

I just got the LPE box from nitrous outlet. They had it in stock. And it was cheaper then LPE direct.

I purchased the Lingenfelter RPM Limiter Timing Retard Controller GM Gen V DI Engines LT4 LTI L86 L83.

I have not installed yet, but after reviewing the instructions and seeing a video of a line lock kit brake and I am going to include that in my install as well. I purchased
this device for the same reason I did not want two tunes and may be the safest way for nitrous. I have also included a stand alone fuel set up in my trunk. I am currently rejigging my electrical set up because I decided to add a 12 volt fuse box in trunk for the 12volt power outlet.

There was a bit of delay when I order the limiter, it took a bit over two weeks to complete delivery. They where waiting for a part to finish making the limiter from a supplier.

Beast, have you had a chance to run yours down the track? How much are you spraying? Good lucking engine bay, love the High Ram. I did a 6.0 in a 82 Malibu wagon and used the High Ram, its really a bitchin setup.

No track or spray time yet. Still modifying and perfecting setup.

End of March will be testing it out. Will start with 100 spray and probably stay with a 150 shot that tuners thinks will yield be 10.3 on paper after drag pac is on. I am willing to try a 200 shot if I can break into a 9.99 then back 150 shot. This is the goal and will see how it goes.

I corrected my post it’s a line lock for brakes not the trans brake for tranny.
