Hi. I've been reading the forums here for a while and thought I would try and get some help with my problems getting out of the hole at the drag strip. I started out with my car stock LS3 M6 and ran a best time of 9.0 with 60 foot times of 2.3-2.4 at 86-87 mph. This is an 1/8th mile track which is all that's available to me where I live. I started with adding pedders subframe bushings and 1LE toe links and a drag alignment. On the stock pirellis I got a steady 8.80 with a best or 8.70 and a 2.3 60 foot. Now I have 305/45/18 drag radials and have got to a steady 8.70 with a 60 foot time of 2.1. I tried launch control and also turning everything off which I prefer and all rpms up to 5000 and also tried different clutch release techniques. I think the car should run 8-8.2 with a 60 of 1.8-2. Any thoughts tips or ideas or questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Gotta ride that clutch if you want good 60 ft times. I kept my fluid changed & clutch held up fine until I got a cam.
This was after 60+passes, not as bad as I expected actually.

Thanks guys. That link has a lot of helpful information. From that and the info I have picked up the past couple of days I essentially have to change the way I drive. Normally with cars in the past they had solid axle and all you needed was a good tire good clutch and a high rpm launch essentially just letting go of the clutch. That doesn't work at all with this car. I'm going to try working both pedals together in unison versus hold one let off the other rapidly and go for a more fluid motion and see how that works.
