For Me, this is a home-run....I love the 5th body style, but it was a Portly beast.
With the architecture the 6th Gen has been set up with, the possibilities are limitless, and with the same overall body style that I love.
I'm signing up for the Max Horsepower version when it becomes available!

Think of this as a plug, or advertisement for the actual reveal tomorrow. I mean, other than Camaro fans, or hardcore car enthusiasts, who would even know about the reveal?

I just don't agree with you on why the 5th was such a hit. I don't think it was the time span at all. If they had shown the car in 2002, it still would have been huge.

The first Transformers movie was released either late June 2007 or early July 2007.

It's a marketing move. get the word out to folks that wouldn't otherwise know about it.

Another reason, and think about the outlet, CNBC, is to attract some Friday action on GM Stock to close out the week.

Come on, honestly, they didn't really give us any real, tangable information. Hardly a spoiler for the reveal. Crappy pics, and a shortened test drive in a camo car with covered interior. We still know nothing more than we did 24 hrs ago. It was a simple plug, nothing more, nothing less.

6th Generation First Impressions...

My first ever impression? I find the nose too short for the overall visual balance of the car; at least that's my thoughts tonight. Hoping I love it when I see it tomorrow. Got to be up in 4 or 5 hours to make it to Detroit. 'Night all.

Sorry but... it looks like every line put on the 6th gen was added because someone said, "let's push this in and see what it looks like", or "add a couple lines here to make it more sophisticated". Too many people playing way too long with their computer models.

I think when we see a 6th gen next to a 5th gen, it's going to be like seeing an actor's weird looking younger brother who isn't as big as his more famous older brother, and always wears a stupid scowl.

To me, it's like they took an eraser to the 5th gen.

looks like a hot mess. Why can't GM just keep the retro, agressive styling, you know... make it look like an actual muscle car? Why is that so hard. It looks pretty terrible to be honest.

Because they either made a non-American design studio the lead studio, or they want to sell the car in non-American markets.

This seems to be happening with GM lately. The studio in Shanghai has taken the lead in a lot of their cars lately.

I remember a story about a year or so ago about how some new Cadillac didn't do well in a Chinese clinic. The people in the clinic said they were too aggressive looking. So they watered down the design. I think it was a CTS clinic.
So the Chinese got what they wanted and GM just rammed that design down the Americans' throats, not caring that we would have preferred the more aggressive design.

Oooor, some people want to live in 2015 and not 1969?

I think that by judging by the demographic of the Camaro, your statement is wrong.

Car guys, guys that have the money to buy one of these cars, want a Camaro to look like an American muscle/pony car. Not some watered down Eurotrash POS.

You want a smooth car? Fine, just don't call it a Camaro, or GTO, or Challenger.
