68 Camaro into a ZL1?
I have a 68 Camaro I'd like to turn into a ZL1, looking for any help on how I should get started and who I should talk to. Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is A ZL1 drivetrain on eBay, pretty much all your under pinnings, but not cheap.

I recommend doing what I did, I have a 68 SS/RS, I just went and bought a ZL-1 . All kidding aside I have a good friend building a 68 with lots of parts from Detroit Speed (pro touring car) and just with the subframe, mini-tub kit, rearend set up, baer brakes rotors, rims, fuel tank and some other stuff, no where near enough to complete the car, just in those parts he spent around $35K. I am not trying to compare the ZL-1 to a built pro touring car but when all is said and done I think you will spend more in the long run trying to turn a 68 into a ZL-1. Best of luck if you follow thru and would love to see pictures of the build

Buy a ZL1 :-) It will cost you at least $65k to have it on the level of the ZL1.
In the near future i wanna build a LS7 69 Camaro Pro Tour with Detroit Speed Everything. The ZL1 will have no chance against it lol. In the end, i'll always take a perfectly built pro tour over a ZL1. It will also never get Played Out or Boring to me like i know a modern car will, specially when a newer model releases.

Mark Stielow's most recent 1st Gen Camaro build is pretty nice. The DSE cars are also amazing. You can see some of these cars at LS Fest next year.

Yeah no kidding. It was better than it looked in the pictures. Not sure I would race him. Being it is probably 550 HP and 3300 pounds I am guessing.
We have a great car show in the summer by me on Monday nights. They usually have theme nights. The corvette night had over 900 cars and 330 vettes. There is just about any car you would like here. Check it out. Always fun to look at this stuff. http://www.markscruisenight.com/past.html |

Great looking 68! I would love to put a LS7 motor in mine but the house payments and buying my ZL-1 sucked my extra funds right out of the bank! So for now the 396 will have to do
