I truly love my 2016 2LT RS V6. It is my first Camaro. Long time fan of the car going back to the 2nd GEN in the 1970s, the IROC series back in the 1980s and so forth. BEST car I have ever owned. I get so many looks and compliments about my car, I have never been so happy with any purchase in my life. When I ordered the car I just felt that being my first Camaro I wanted to play it safe with the power of the new 6th gen (V6) but more importantly, the total cost of the car. I had to set limits. But, now owning the car for 7 months, Unfortunately, a little buyers remorse has settled in. I Kinda wished I got the 2SS.

I know my 2LT V6 RS is a fast car. A lot faster than most cars on the road. I keep looking at the facts, 0-60 with the automatic 5.1 seconds and just 1.1 seconds behind the 2016 SS. (4.0 seconds). 13.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile compared to 12.3 seconds for the SS. I have put as much mods on my car as I possibly can. (front splitter, rear blade spoiler, splash guards, window tint, black bowties, etc.) I just wish I would've got the NPP exhaust!!!!!

So, all in all not too shabby. I am already counting down the days or more like 3 (three) years before I can trade up to the V8 model. So, in the meantime I will just enjoy my badazz ride.

Anybody else have a little buyers remorse settling in?
No need to have buyers remorse

When you trade in a vehicle you only pay the tax on the difference, so essentially if you work your deal correctly you are only going to have to pay for license and registration which in most cases will be around $600.

Just drive it until you need new tires and trade it in. Let the dealership know when they come across a day they are ready to "make a good deal" to give you a call.

If you are willing to play it cool, you would be amazed at what kind of deals you can get on certain days. Might not be the exact color you want. lol

Glen I love those hash marks on the sides of your car!

I think having those with the rally stripe on mine might be too much going on...but I like em!

I'm not going to say there was any buyers remorse, but...
My first Camaro was a 2013 V6. There are great numbers of V6 owners who've upgraded to a V8. I don't regret my introduction to "Camaro World", as I've gained many friends who share a common interest.
But...I moved up and onward when the time was right. Enjoy what you have.

Im afraid I will have buyers remorse lol I want the v8 but dont think I can afford it so Im waiting to check out the v6 1LE hopefully I can order the green! I already own a v8, my novas engine came stock with 330hp in 1971 (its in my 74) and mymotorcycle is fast as hell anyway. I hate people I work with trying to tell me a v8 is the only thing that should go in a camaro!

Those V6s are no slouch. I just got a new SS and test drove the V6s for the hell of it. Quick cars!

I don't take anything away from the RS or the Turbo 4, but there is no way I wouldn't purchased a Camaro without the LS1. It's just not the same. Just like the Mustang or Dodge. They have to have a V8. The V6's are plenty fast, but I'd rather spend the extra money and get a V8. IMO

Again, it comes down to money, personal preference.
I went from a C7 to a 2017 Camaro LT, for monetary reasons, without any regrets...this is the BEST V6 GM has ever put out and will win many awards.

IMO the price gaps between the LT & SS keeps getting bigger.

Well said! I need to remember that one!

I went for a very enjoyable and spirited drive last Sunday. Spent the weekend at the coast and I didn't have a passenger with me on the drive home. So, I picked the best looking road and pushed my car pretty hard. The V6 handles roads like these beautifully/confidently. And, the V6 has more than enough power to pass slow cars quickly and to power through the corners with aplomb. Even with "just" the V6 I found myself excessively speeding on multiple occasions and had to reel myself back to "safe" speeds.

The road was Hwy 22 from Hebo, OR to Valley Junction. Great section of road. Well paved, quite smooth, with tons of 25-45 mph corners and elevation changes.

here is a video of Hwy 22 from a motorcyclist:

I really need to get a GoPro or a good dash cam so I can start posting some of these amazing roads we have here in Oregon.

The V8 is desireable. But, I have zero remorse - this is a great "sports car"!

I bought the V6 and regretted it. It was fun but the V8 is a beast. Found a 2SS for 36K and couldn't pass it up. Traded in the V6 and don't have any regrets. The 2SS is an awesome car and the looks it gets is icing on the cake.

Lord dirt congrats that's a rare find because I've been looking and with the 10% off 2 lots are saying they will only give me 22k for the car that's a 7k loss plus 5k down payment and there is no 1ss or 2ss in 100 miles radius of my zip for less then 38k. So again congratz and enjoy.
