My fifth gen goes way, way back into the rear seat area.

If greater recline was eliminated for no good reason in the 6th, it should be changed back to what most took for granted. They can address this, even in the middle of this years run, and offer an upgrade or rework.

Ok, but if it hits the rear seat, it can't recline more......the corvette has limit switches on the seats because they found the motors were burning out when the the seat was put back against the rear bulhead. I'm sure that's why they limited this seat.

But the safety feature you mention as the reason sounds plausible also.

Yeah, mine sort or makes a bogging down sound when it hits the end of the travel....But I don't think it actually hits the rear seat hard enough to hurt anything. Plus, if you move the seat up, it creates more space from the back.

You're probably right though. It's just how these seats are now. All good.

I'd recommend that anyone who is not satisfied with how little the seats recline, contact Chevy customer care to file a formal complaint. The more complaints they get, the more they will look into this. I PM'd the Chevy Customer Svs member on this board and started a case number. Hopefully they will come up with a fix for this. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels the seats don't recline enough.

I would MUCH rather have a manual seat than limited recline range

The seats need to be able to recline all the way back, like "date night" reclining

Looks like they just adjust back but still not recline.

I think the seats are fine. If I want a nap, I'll use my bed. And no passenger would be dumb enough to nap when I am driving this beast.

Here's a pic that shows the Recaro fully reclined in a ZL-1 (and the 1LE)....

Haven't heard this discussed much lately, but I hope everyone's Camaro seats recline as much as the Recaros do. If not, they should!

Update to my complaint. Chevy customer care was not helpful at all. They basically said live with it.

I ended up selling the car because the seat was so uncomfortable.

You must have taken a hit selling the car? If they were that uncomfortable it would be cheaper to just replace them!
