My mirror moves when the bass drops..

Any way to fix my rear view mirror from vibrating so much to wear I have to readjust it from when the bass drops lol? Seriously very interested in peoples answers here...

Sorry for horrible quality on here but you get the point (P.S. the bass doesn't really sound like this lol)

From my experience(s), it is not the actual mirror, it might a coin (cent/dime) or any metals, struck in between the mirror and the other surface which is causing this. I may be wrong but does not hurt to look for them !

My mirror vibrates from the bass hits........... Didn't know there was a solution to this. It has happened in every car I have had.

Never knocked it out of adjustment though. Must have some heavy bass going on in you car.

Op- what system are you running? (# of subs, RMS watts tec)
If your ditrotion is fairly high this can happen. The only solution to remove is to Dynamat or Hushmat the car.
This will tighten up your bass by removing excess vibrations and distortion.
Otherwise you may just have too much bass

Lol, this is a funny thread.......hasn't this been a problem forever?

1. Turn down the music
2. Adjust the bass
3. Retrofit your car to limit the affects to the cabin of the car

Loctite the screw.

Will still vibrate, but it won't get knocked out of place.

Now if only I could figure put a way to keep my side mirrors still.....

This happens constantly to me too there really is only one fix I know of and that's to put dynamat on the back of the mirror but that's not bugling to look good at all... I considered this a guarantee before I ever installed my system and it's only 600 watts

Well guys when I had my old 98 silverado my mirror was solid, never moved a single bit and I was pushing 3000 watts in there and my box was tuned to 20hz hitting those low notes like crazy! And honestly in here I don't have too much, seriously I've only got 500 watts of rms in here which is near to nothing lol.

Turn down the music.

Really though if you still have a mirror it's not enough bass. Take out your rear seat, add a spare battery, 2 L7 15"s and a PPI amp and you're set. Oh and dynamat is for pussies let that shit rattle son.
