There will be race prepped Camaros, 1LEs, Z28s, ZL1s and ZL1 1LEs... Man,,, I need a better weapon to keep up with the gang...
I'll probably have to put on a fresh set of tires for this event, at least. One week and one day until the NCM day! Can't wait!!!
Just make sure u put enough miles on those new tires to get the oils out or u will not have the traction u think, some say at least 1000 miles

I just figure on sliding it out on turn one and wandering around looking for the bar.

Okay, here is my issue. All the talk of wearing out tires, brakes over heating, checking every nut & bolt, etc spooks me every Fest. I have DOT 4 brake fluid but don't plan to get fresh fluid done this year as I just don't drive my car that much any more. I don't want to wear out my tires or brakes or go off the track. I do not plan on running the whole session to avoid issues. I will not drive in rain or on a wet track. I would like to have someone ride with me just to make me feel more confident. I am in the novice group & think I can drive within my skill level, but will be unsure about how many laps I can safely run before risking problems with brakes or tires.

They will get you an instructor or qualified person to ride with you.

Stop by our setup Wednesday evening and we will look Ruby over.

Good piont. I find usually 500 miles is enough to prep tires for the track, though.
My home to my office in KY: 430 miles, From office to NCM: 80 miles. Should be good, I think.

My current tires seem to have 2-3 track days left in them, and I have one more day before CF (this Saturday), so technically I should be able to use current tires for CF but I just don't want to go 500 miles and back on very worn tires.

Hello all. Question. Not sure if it's been asked but is there any 93 octane in town. BP's usually have them in my area.
Thanks

Missy ran at Gingerman earlier this year, with an instructor and had the time of her life. She beat the heck out of that car and it kept on coming back for more... all day long. Very similar to what we will be doing on Wed as far as the different classes running.

In the Novice group, which I will be in also, should be a fun, safe and exciting time. You push the car as hard as you want or you feel comfortable with. This IS NOT A RACE, it's a time to learn how to improve your driving skills and understand the handling characteristic of your ride. You will do fine, I will be out there with you Ruby, having a wonderful time!

What tires are you running on those 20s?
BFG G-Force Comp2 A/S. They are a ultra hi performance all season. SGM was the one of the first special editions to come out. SGM is Synergy Green Metallic color.
