More like the "Wrecking Yard Fodder of Summer". Why are you on a Camaro forum?

You have your opinion, but I really can't see how anyone with an unbiased opinion could make the same assessment about the exhaust that you did.

That's the beautiful thing about opinions, you are entitled to yours and I am entitled to mine. Last summer I was looking at purchasing a new car, we test drove a 12' Mustang GT with 6 MT and I was not impressed with the stock exhaust note. I had already talked to my wife about the need to swap the mufflers for those on the GT500 so it would sound like it should (The GT500 has a great stock exhaust). Later last summer my wife got a 12' SS Camaro L99 through her work, and WOW... the exhaust was not loud or annoying but when you hit the remote start the exhaust would rumble and pop. Driving around town with the windows down the car had good tone, and wasn't annoying or intrusive. You could DD either car because the exhaust isn't overly loud on either but I feel like the Camaro offers a sporty side with the pops and burbles.

In reference to my opinion being biased, I have owned 3 Mustangs of which 2 were Mach 1's. The first was relatively stock mods consisting of an SLP off-road x-pipe and Mac exhaust. The second having an 03' Cobra swap making 450-475whp which had full exhaust Kooks LT headers to off-road x-pipe to Flowmaster. I know Mustangs with exhaust sound good... I still think stock for stock the 5th Gen Camaro sounds better than a similar Mustang, even more so now that NPP is available.

It's an age old situation, some V8 guys rag on V6 owners, and some V6 owners feel inadequate for not having the V8...

I wonder if some C1 Vette owners feel inadequate because they have a I6?

This site is a train wreck sometimes. I think we should have a reality show.

Feels like I'm reading Facebook/Twitter/MySpace (which I hate) instead of reading a technical forum.

Any drama/nonsense that happens in people's lives that some how mentions the word "camaro" gets posted here.

My son has an SS, I have a 1LT, we both love our cars and like the car the other one has. Everyone should feel that way about their car and the other models others own.

Literally almost everytime I have ever waved or acknowledged a V6 camaro they usually just look the other way or ignore me but when its a SS they usually wave back or acknowledge me, with that being said I have an SS and my dad did have a automatic v6 that i drove frequently and enjoyed driving. I dont know why I dont get any love from the v6s..

I wave at them all I usually don't take the time to see the mail slot or SS emblem, all I see is a CAMARO!
P.S. return wave backs are very rare, I think there is just not enough time to wave or they just don't notice. But I'll keep waving!
