He maintained a surprisingly happy demeanour haha.

I ain't no wheel expert but I've always thought racing on non-fully forged wheels was iffy... Seems like the centre of the wheel is the part that takes the most stress, and in a flow-forged wheel the centre is cast, so as far as strength goes a cast wheel and flow-forged wheel are no different.

Watching him look at his tire out his window was great... love that track...most the catastrophic failures end up in dirt or mud.

I noticed that, but I just like watching the powder coating debate without facts lol

Forgestars cores are made in China. They said they weren't. PRC is written on the side of the boxes as the place of manufacturing the cores.

That confirms it. I'm not buying Forgestars now. I made a thread a while back asking about cracking Forgestars and if it was as big of a deal as it seemed to me. It appears pretty common. For the money, it's not worth it to me. Thanks for posting this.

Bought mine a few weeks ago and they are getting put on tomorrow hope I don't have any problems, but I'm not planning on tracking my car. Good write up the guy did though really surprised they failed with so few track visits.

While he was sharing those "Pro tips" on his video maybe he should have included this one, "Use race specific wheels not custom wheels on track days".

I think his tire is still rolling today. It also proved that one rolling tire is faster than a car with three rolling tires.
