Poll: ZL1 or Z/28

Alright, it's about time we get some stats. With your answer, post your reasoning in grave detail so we have more Camaro topics to discuss.

Personally, I'm very undecided but leaning more towards the ZL1. I don't really NEED carbon ceramic brakes, mostly because I'm terrified of the cost to replace them. I'll track the car a bit, but it will mostly be my daily driver during nice weather. I also enjoy the feeling of a s/c with the insane amount of low end torque. That being said, if the Z/28 does have a wicked naturally aspirated (especially a 427!) then I'll definitely have to reconsider. I love the wide a** tires on the Z/28 prototype too. Basically, I can't make a decision until we know more about both cars.

What a great time to be in the market for a HIPO Camaro...these cars are getting ridiculously awesome!

I can't get either because Great Britons decided that 43 years of the European Union ruined their lives somehow and now all my stocks have sunk 30% today.

Have to be the ZL1 because, 1 for dd, 2 the Z/28 will be more expensive and I'd rather live comfortably and not hear it from my wife all the time. You know what they say. Happy wife happy life. So ZL1 with auto for me. I do track sometimes too, so best of both worlds.

I would take either to be honest but the new Z/28 really intrigues me.

Will be the ZL1 for me. The Z28 will be more track focused. I will probably never take mine to the road course but maybe the the drag strip every once in a while. Basically Just a weekend cruiser. I want the power of the ZL1 and the amenities the ZL1 will offer. The ZL1 will probably be cheaper of the two as well.

Undecided, we honestly don't have enough info about the Z/28 yet. If its a hardcore as the last one I would probably go ZL1. I mean I LOVE the Z/28 but I just would never use it as it was designed, I would be a purchase just to say I had one. so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I am undecided. I like both and with so little information about the new Z/28, I am going to wait to make my decision. This is going to be a secondary car, so I can live with it being a little more raw, but I still want it to be enjoyable to drive on normal roads....not just for track days.

I'm guessing the results may be different if this poll were to be posted in the Z/28 forums?

And as others have said, right now we do not know for sure if a Z/28 is even going to happen.

I'm betting it will though.

For me it's more ZL1 or Z06. I'm hoping for a large price gap, but someone who is supposed to be in the know, said for the few thousand more get the Z06. Time will tell how much the ZL1 will be. It appears no 10 speed for the Z06 in '17 but who knows.
