2011 WRX
God Damn I rode in a buddies, had an inter cooler but other than that stock. With that launch control that thing will go. Just because of its all wheel drive and launch, I think it could beat the ZL1... No idea from a roll though.

I assume you're talking about a WRX STi. A regular WRX is considerably slower than a STi. STi's are impressive at the start due to their AWD. A good STi driver could keep up with a ZL1 at the start. However, a stock and mildly modded STi has no chance against a ZL1 (or even a SS) as the speed increases. A big reason for this are the very short gear ratios on the STi's 6-speed trans. I've heard late model STi's are well into 5th gear on just a 1/4 mile run.

And I agree, a stock WRX or STi will only end up eating a lot of tire smoke from a ZL1. I've never heard of a stock STi doing 0-60 in under 4 seconds.

Base wrx is not fastER than the STi but they are as fast as the Sti. Modded, they can go faster than STi. I been a suby freak since its debut back in 2001 and they are GREAT cars. These days you can't even find a hatch base wrx sitting on the dealer lot. What car that cost 25k can do 4.7sec 0-60 out the showroom. I believe starting next year the subies are going to be branding the wrx as its own and out of the impreza lineup. I know one day I will go back home

And when we say "plenty," we mean it: the revised WRX now blasts to 60 mph from a standstill in an electrifying 4.7 seconds. That's 1.1 seconds quicker than the 2008 model—and get this—0.3 second quicker than we've managed in a WRX STI, the supposedly higher-performance version of the WRX. The fact that the WRX is now substantially quicker seems absolutely bonkers, but there are a couple of good explanations. First, the WRX STI weighs a hearty 180 pounds more than the base WRX, according to our scales. Second, the STI and its closer-ratio six-speed manual call for two shifts to 60, while the regular WRX's five speed hits 60 mph in second gear. By the time the pair travel a quarter-mile, the '09 WRX loses some ground, though; both cross the line at 102 mph, with the base Rex edging out the STI by just 0.1 second, 13.5 to 13.6.

I used to have a WRX. Things are super quick. All wheel drive is a definite plus. Camaro's much more fun, though.
