Did someone post somewhere else photos of what the Blazer might look like as a mock up of the new Colorado?

Let's also have a 2 Door short wheelbase version just called the Blazer to compete with the Wrangler.

That's awesome, which means it probably won't be built.

Thats one of the reasons why I try to avoid 'fan speculation' renderings. They have a tendency to raise ones hopes, only so that they can be dashed when the real thing comes along.

The current Cruze has both a turbo engine and a diesel too. The turbo is a fairly weak economy engine, nothing to get excited about. Meanwhile VW has managed to sour the entire passenger car diesel market with their shenanigans, and so Cruze diesel sales (which would have skyrocketed in a fair world) have actually tanked -and it wasn't doing so great in the first place. So I'm not too hopeful that a new one is actually going to get greenlit. But who knows, maybe people will come to the realization that GM wasn't the one cheating or simply forget about the whole thing in a couple years. Or GM might bite the bullet and just bring it to market anyways, regardless of market forces.
