I've owned 4 total.

1979 Z/28 - Red
Purchased in 1985 for $3,300 when I was in college. To help pay for it I went to work for Dominos delivering pizzas. Word to the wise, don't drive a Camaro to deliver pizzas. On a good note, I had lots of people asking if they could deliver pizzas for Dominos if it meant they could drive a Camaro.

1987 Camaro - Red
Purchased in 1988 for ~$8,000 when I was in the Air Force, stationed in New York. Because I wasn't allowed to have a car with me in basic training and tech school (was in tech school for nearly a year), I let my sister drive the '79 Z/28. She pretty much blew it up by driving it without oil so when I got to my first duty station, I picked up this beauty. The only problem was it was originally sold in Canada and didn't come with AC. In upstate New York that's not a problem but in Oklahoma, that's a no go. I got married in 1990 and wound up selling this car in 1991 as my wife couldn't drive it and we really needed to get a family friendly car.

2012 2LS - Blue
Purchased in April of 2014. After 23 years away from Camaros my wife and I went to the dealer to pay cash for a really nice 2002 Camaro. It had some issues (leaked some oil, some interior damage), but would have been worth what they were asking. After driving it (and a few other 4th gens) I began to realize I'm just not the same size I was 23 years earlier and the 4th gens were just too tight and had too low of a roof for me. The salesman asked if I'd ever sat in a 5th gen. That night I drove home with the 2LS. The plan was to keep this for a couple of years until the 6th gens came out and then trade it in for an SS. Turns out I couldn't wait that long.

2014 2SS/RS - Crystal Red Tintcoat (noticing a trend here?)
Purchased in August of 2014. Yes, I took a beating trading in a car I'd just purchased a few months earlier (not one of the best financial decisions I've ever made for sure) but I found myself really wanting the power of the V8 and I could afford it. Also, my wife and I had been talking about all the mods I wanted to make to the 2LS, new radio with the touch screen and navigation, halo headlights, CAI, etc. She convinced me that if that's what I wanted, I should just go out and get what I wanted. What a wonderful wife! So, I'm now the proud owner of the most beautiful car I've ever seen and one that gives me a great big smile every time I get in it and start the engine.
