Yes sorry on my phone ... Downshifting I might have over revved it on accident. Drove home all was good. Then morning lights and misfire. So idk.

Food for thought....

I had a '08 Silverado that a purchased new, when I drove the truck home, the low tire light was on, but all the tires were full. So, I made an appointment to have it looked at when I signed the papers to buy it.

Took the truck in, they had it for HOURS, and then said the module that read the TPMS sensors was bad....so it will be done in a couple days....

Fast Forward a week... Arrived to pick the BRAND NEW truck up. Remote start wouldn't work....odd...got in started it up, SES light was FLASHING and truck idled like garbage. Went right back in and said "what the hell is wrong with my truck?" (good news was, the tire light was off, lol) They poked around on it for about an hour. Cant figure out why it now has a misfire. So, I leave it there again. A week later I get a call, "Hey, found the problem causing the misfire, it has three broken valve springs"

I go absolutely ape shit crazy, drive down to the dealer, find the service manager and ask "Who worked on the TPMS problem, and WTF did they do to my 3 week old truck?"

At the end, it was all fixed and they tech that worked on it first never touch it again. However, I cant help but wonder.... It was completely checked out and picked up according to the paperwork, then checked back in for a separate warranty issue. There is no way the service tech didn't notice the SES light flashing at him, not to mention it wasn't firing on 3 cylinders. To this day I believe the tech broke it screwing around in my truck, then let me sign for it as fixed, so it would then be checked back in and repaired under a separate service ticket as a warranty in order to cover their asses....

I wouldn't doubt if something similar happened here....

Heard too many similar stories like that, I check everything once I get my car back from the dealer.
