Yeah, but it still managed to beat the majority of the field.

The MPH indicates something was wrong with that car. But even if it was making the promised power, it may have run about the same time with a terrible driver. I've seen a M6 Hellcat run low 13s at about 120 mph.
With manuals and big power its all about the driver. Except that MPH is just too low. |

like I said horsepower and trap speed are fairly predictable. that car they tested does not have the advertised horsepower and with the size of blower that is on it has to be an issue that is fixable. I could care less I would rather have a GT350 over a super snake any day of the week. Better engineered package but there is something wrong with that car not who knows if they deliver them all like that but if they do then shame on Shelby.

I just wish, I WISH, the car makers while they are able, move towards great power cars without all the superchargers/turbos.
At this point I would rather be out horsed by some blown monstrosity and have an ERL forged setup underneath me. This article is brutal.

now a healthy Z06 would have posted fast lap of all those cars by quite a margin. 1:38+ is a joke for that car. I am not trying to defend the supersnake don't like the car I just really feel like something was wrong with that car. I think my buddies 13 5.0 with 460whp n/a does 116 or better trap speed.

the GT350 is fords first stab at an N/A car that might be legit fast stock they are taking forever releasing data. the C6 Z06 was a car that was if you ever driven one. they just move stock. The C7 is pretty legit for an N/A car. challengers are too heavy they need like 600-700hp to feel legit fast, 5th gen camaro's were too heavy. the new mustang is right on the edge of too heavy. I mean a Z/28 does not feel bad but it is such a step down in acceleration from a C6 z and it is all due to weight they have the same motor. it really feels more like a C6 corvette in pull which is not bad by any means that is how my zl1 felt stock to me. even the 6th gen camaro is right on the tipping point of being a tick heavy but at least it will be lighter. it is amazing how 3000-3400lb cars don't need 600-700hp to scream but these 3800-4500lb cars really need 600hp to just move out.

Wow 850hp and the best they could pull was 12? Something doesn't add up here....
The ZL1 was the best thing Chevy did, its a complete package of everything. Fast right of the dealer lot, sounds amazing, handles amazing, and turns heads. Not to mention how well it handles mods. Hognuts how do you like the Hellcat? If you see my previous thread my Dad got a 2015 Hellcat. I love the Hellcat don't get me wrong, but it feels incomplete in the sense that Dodge just threw on a blower made 707hp, and didn't care about anything else. The ZL1 is a complete package. As far as your weight argument goes you sound silly. Muscle cars have been heavy since the 60s, they have 4 seats and are big cars.... Of course a car with 2 seats and a smaller body is going to pull way faster.
