Thumbs down I guess I just suck at cleaning windows

Well, I got the Adams window spray. I went cheap on window rags and got walmart micro fiber towels. If thats my downfall, tell me now.
I went over the front window with the spray, used the towel. Looks nice n clean. Get it in the sun and presto, wipe marks, smudges everywhere. I went over that damn window inside and out twice! And it sure isn't fun to fail on the inside of the window. I twist my arm to reach all the way down where the dash meets. This sucks!!!

You need the Adams glass towels.

Of all the Adams products out there, their glass cleaner is the best. It's absolutely amazing and is my favorite product because of how well it works and ease of use.

But you need their microfiber glass towels. Worth every penny IMO.

Adams Glass cleaner and their Micro fiber glass towels are the best.
If I run out of Adams glass cleaner Invisible glass also works well.

you must have the towels and you will still get a smudge here and there, just have to pull it out in the sun and touch up the few places you missed...

how u described your situation is like buying a ferrari and using recycled engine oil from a pinto...you never want to buy micro fiber anything from stores, they usually have tags on them and they are useless...

get some Adam's towels and you'll be much happier

I gave up on using anything but cheap white no-name paper towels for cleaning windows. Cotton or micro-fiber towels always seemed to leave something behind regardless of which cleaning product I tried.

Invisible Glass plus cheap paper towels have worked well for me over the years.

Its likely the fact you used a 'plush' towel instead of a glass towel. Glass towels (ours or anyone elses) are almost like a satin finish. Still microfiber, just woven differently.

They're the best way to clean glass. A lot of times I don't even cleaner with mine. The inside window haze wipes away cleanly with just a dry towel so long as its not that bad of buildup.

What causes that haze? I do not smoke so that isn't it, car is garage kept but still get haze every now and then. Thoughts?

The haze is from the materials used in the car's interior,
worse when it's hot and sunny. Not much you can do
about it.

Hetfield, make sure you're not in the sun and the glass
is cool, I've always found that works best.

If you don't have any of adams special window towels... the absolutly best thing to use is a newspaper. I know it sounds weird, put newspaper will clean your windows streak-free. Ask any stripper... that's what they clean all the mirrors with at their club.

Yep, like Becky said, its all the materials 'gassing out'.

Disturbingly enough tests show that a lot of 'new car smell' is things like formaldehyde and bromine (both toxic). Not so much an issue for adults, but in children the concentrations border on unsafe.

I know with the vettes and 5th gens GM has gone to a lot more earth/people friendly materials, thus some of the weird issues people have with door panels looking chalky, etc.

Sterling is right. Just leaves your hands a mess, but
the windows are sparkling
