tbh i dont feel that much difference either. slightly maybe. not as much as i thought i would.
i leave mine in tour anyway..drives superbly on roads i've know for 20 years

The difference is quite subtle for me, but it's there. You really have to DRIVE it too to notice. If you're just going straight and driving like you always do on normal roads, sure - you'll feel it in the steering wheel, but the ride itself is very minor in my opinion.
I still like having it, but if I were to get another camaro I wouldn't sweat NOT having it.

I've had my 1LE for almost 4 years now. I hardly notice any difference between tour and sport. I've tried toggling between those two modes while driving down a somewhat consistently bumpy road, but the change is imperceptible to me. Track mode definitely firms up the ride though. No question there. It's a pretty stiffly sprung car, so I'm not surprised the softer setting is less noticeable. Perhaps on the non-1LE models it's more apparent? Regardless, even with my 1LE in sport mode I'm amazed at how good the ride quality is for a car with the capabilities it has!

Magnetic Ride Control is associated only to the damping rate of the shocks. You need to understand how both parts of your suspension (shocks and springs) work together to understand what to expect from MRC.
When you hit a bump of some sort, the wheel will want to travel up/down to get over it without disturbing the overall line of the car itself. If you have it in Tour, the damping rate is reduced and the wheel can travel a bit further and/or a bit more quickly to go over that bump. The trade-off is that allowing the wheel to move further means that it has further to go to get back to where it was. If you're cornering, that can affect the ability to keep the tire's contact patch more firmly on the ground and you'll lose grip. The opposite is true in Sport/Track - because the tire can't move as quickly or as far, more of that bump gets transferred to the body (and you) to absorb. But, the tire generally stays in contact with the road better for cornering. If you want a better idea of the differences between modes, you will need to manually set the steering to a specific setting (NOT "Auto") and dial through the modes over and over on a specific piece of road that isn't perfectly level or straight. The differences are subtle, but in terms of handling - they matter. |

The difference in suspension firmness while tootling along seems minor to me as well. In Tour, I notice rough road imperfections less.
HOWEVER, because many don't track their cars, I think the other major (and probably more substantial) benefit of MRC is going unmentioned. MRC can control the suspension movement of each wheel, independently, in response to traction differences. It enables the car to corner flat and helps rebalance the car for optimal traction in the corners. It's what helps our heavy car to feel lighter than it really is. |

Take it for a spirited drive through some curvy mountain back roads and you will most definitely notice it, well at least i did

Are your shipping blocks removed from the front suspension. Check and make sure you don't have two orange rubber/plastic blocks installed in the front springs.

Here on the wonderful roads in Michigan especially around the Detroit and Oakland County area you can really feel the difference!. If you put it in tour mode versus sport mode it is very significantly stiffer on the ride over expansion joints.
