Anyone know of any employees from the Norwood OH Camaro plant?

In my 32 years of continuous Camaro ownership, I never ran across anybody who worked at the Norwood OH assembly plant. I would love to hear or correspond with any former employees from there!

My 74 firebird was built there. I researched online about the plant closure. Interesting...

There is a very knowledgeable gentleman that has written a book about the Norwood plant, ECHOES OF NORWOOD. (http://www.norwoodassemblyplant.com/) As part of the research he's contacted and interviewed many from the plant. As a tribute to them and the cars they built he's also organized a "Gathering" of former employees, some of the cars they built , and enthusiast to attend. The fourth one will take place August 9th in Norwood, you could actually go and meet them!!!

He is an active member at camaropacecars.com. if you want to PM him (goes by "festival") Here are some links with a few pictures of previous ones.

Follow up!!! There will be a table set up with the national debut of '67 Camaro VIN 100001 at the Nov. 22-23rd MCACN show in Chicago and former Norwood workers will be available to talk to/ask questions. There currently are five former workers scheduled to be there.

More details here:

BTW:Guess I missed the date, when I posted about "the gathering" a couple post up it had apparently already happened, SORRY!

I was an Atendee...

Phil Borris is the author and organizer of this event. I was invited last year with my 1969 L89 Camaro. The first pic is him in the dark slacks chatting with GM's Scott Settlemire. I've included some pics from the event.

This event looks very interesting - I've always wanted to see and wondered where the first Camaro was.
