Why do you care about my credibility? this is my opinion. you don't care for it? tough luck for ya, brother. I think Montana, P. Manning, Marino, and maybe even Elway are above Brady. If that makes me bias, then I don't really care.

This might not last too much longer, so for something a little different

How about the Best player for a Short Period of time?

QB - Kurt Warner
RB - Gale Sayers / Bo Jackson
WR - Josh Gordon

DL - Jerome Brown
LB - Brian Cushing
DB - Pat Tillman

Well, Tom Brady won his 201 game, most all time victories for a starting QB. Does this change anybody's mind on him? Is he now the goat, still the goat, or no way he's still not the goat.

People will sit there and say he's a product of a great system, which is partially true.

But Joe Montana was no stranger to this either, so you have to have the perfect synergy between system, coach and QB.

I still think terrific Tom Brady is the greatest to ever do it, and still plays like he's in his prime.

X 100

The "West Coast" offense invented by Bill Walsh was run by Montana (masterfully I would add) and that "system" at the time was new to the league. Steve Young also was dominant (short run, injuries) on same system after Montana left, so was Montana only a system QB?

Not if you saw him as a KC Chief vs Oilers in playoffs, OMG that man took some crazy hits and still won that game. Was amazing.

Here are my greatest players per position (best, second best).

I have not read whole thread but this is my opinion on the EYE TEST, as in best I have ever seen at the position. Been watching football since mid 1980's and seen film back to late seventies. Clearly there will not be any old time players on my list, never saw them play really. Feedback is fun but don't chirp about dudes that played 15 years "earning" best all time, this is my list of best at the position I have seen, no demotions for short spans. The most DOMINANT at the position that I have seen.

OFFENSE
QB - Tom Brady, Joe Montana
RB - Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders (special mention to Curtis Martin and Thurman Thomas)
WR - Jerry Rice, Randy Moss (special mention to Calvin Johnson)
TE - Rob Gronkowski, Tony Gonzales
OL - Anthony Munoz, Bruce Matthews

DEFENSE
DE - Reggie White, Bruce Smith (special mention to Julius Peppers, Howie Long and Demarcus Ware)
OLB - Lawrence Taylor (best defensive player all time IMO), Ricky Jackson
MLB - Mike Singletary, Ray Lewis (special mention to Sam Mills)
CB - Deion Sanders, Darrell Green (special mention to Richard Sherman)
S - Ed Reed, Ronnie Lott (special mention to Rodney Harrison)

SPECIAL TEAMS
K - Adam Vinatieri, Morten Andersen
PR/KR - Devin Hester, Mel Gray
P - who cares

Will Tom Brady further make a compelling argument that he's the undisputed Greatest of all Time if he wins yet another superbowl?

Muscle car lover, I like your list. I have just a couple issues, but overall a good list.
I would put Darrell Reevis ahead of both Green and Sherman.
Kevin Greene in front of Ricky Jackson.
Well, still a very good list!

When he does win it, it will be a hard case to not make him the GOAT. Seven appearances, five victories. Most all time victories.most playoff victories. It will just be personal preference or a undefeated Montana or Bradshaw as options, IMO.

Kenny to be honest I forgot about Greene until this week, I agree 100%. What a motor, what a player.

Revis was unreal too, but those other guys were amazing. No real argument.
