You really think so? 720HP with magnetic ride control, versus a proposed 650HP unicorn that hasnt got any real data behind it? I'm not making a statement one way or the other but I'm not going to count it out just yet.

I think this is a great accomplishment for Lingenfelter ,but I don't understand why they even brought up the GT500. So a highly modified car can run as fast as an OEM stock car.
Spend enough money on any car and it will run 200 MPH. I noticed that the car had a roll cage and no back seat. I wonder how many more weight saving mods were done if any. I know the cage would have easily weighed more than the seat ,but it got me thinking as to what all was really done to that car. Like I said in other threads, does anyone in the real world even care if their car can go that fast for anything other than bragging. All of this really makes me wonder if the GT500 can really go 200 MPH off the showroom floor. |
