My Z06 didn't have MRC, the Camaro does. Makes a BIG difference.

This is too funny! Exactly what I am doing. Im trading my 09 Z06 for a 2SS Camaro. And, same here. Im scared to drive the damn thing bc of the valve issues. I cannot justify $9k on a head/cam package, but I cannot afford to take the risk if a failure. Ive only put about 2k miles on it in the past 6mon Ive owned it. I love all the tech and features of the new Camaro. I do not fear any dissapointment due to the power deficit. 3.7 vs 4.0 0-60. Moot point when you are clenched in fear of an engine grenading every time you open it up!

Well I guess I'm not the only one making the switch then. I wasn't going to do heads and cam, just the heads and that alone was expensive. I'll miss the car but I know I made the right choice.

I dig the new camaro ss yet I'm not quite sure I'd trade my 2008 c6 z51 m6 with npp in for one.

The rear seats would come in handy a couple of times a month but I've been driving two seater corvettes for over a decade.

I've thought about buying a c6 z06 as that dropped valve thing on the LS7 is WAY OVER BLOWN and the pricing of pre owned z06 s is excellent ...but the roof not coming off is a deal killer for me. I keep the targa roof off all summer long.

The new camaro ss is an impressive vehicle,

Overblown, not exactly. If its overblown then why were there two class action suits against GM for it? It's a real issue, especially with the 2006 - 2009 cars. GM admitted there was a problem with the machining of a run of heads in the earlier cars but I've seen examples of 2010 and on cars dropping valves. It's basically a crap shoot as to whether you got a bad set of heads or not.

Agreed, not overblown if its your $80,000 car with 2800 miles that pops a $15K motor. I've read about plenty of failures, deal breaker for me.

* i have no idea how to do this special request but gm engineers and reps told us this on the findnewroads tour. And i plan to run wider rims with 285 up front and 305 out back

Has anyone actually been successful in doing the above and had their 1SS trunklid and spoiler replaced with a 1LT trunklid and spoiler,
or at least had the 1SS spoiler deleted with no charge?
I'm trying to accomplish this with my 1SS order.

Thanks in advance.
