Curious, anybody know if these are the same cars?

Knock versus no knock, probably bad gas

Do you know if the car had premium fuel in it? Wonder if some of those other dynos had regular fuel by mistake. Just odd as three are so close, then one is a decent amout higher.

I am extremely weary of any early dyno results. Not because I think the cars are ringers, but because I suspect a lot of people that want to post numbers up, do it explicitly because they want to show everyone some big numbers. Doesn't matter whether its a private owner or a shop thats about to start selling products. Some might say a shop would be prone to lowballing the 'before' to make their stuff look better, which is true. But if you have a dyno that tends to read high you'll also post better gains vs a more conservative dyno.

Even in the coming months when people do a before & after, I'm still skeptical that it might be a 'happy' dyno. If you dyno your car, are you going to be more likely to post it if the number is high or if its low?

Guys this was posted on the "other" forum.

It was on ADMs dyno which is the dyno I use and it's pretty stingy. I was present for the pull today. 399 was with pump gas and it knocked, so they put a couple of gallons of race gas in it and it put down the 417. Same conditions otherwise.
I think it's interesting. Find it here: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/show...postcount=2516

Wonder why it had some knock? My guess is it had regular fuel in it. Does Dallas TX (where the shop is I think) have 91 or 93 premuim?

Hopefully it had rot gut in it...ping/knock on 91 would suck

To answer your question yes. Some petro stations have 91 and some offer 93 around here.

The car makes around 400 rwhp

Based on all of the data it lands anywhere just shy of 400 rwhp and just slightly north of 400 rwtq. This was real world data with some knock retard in the datalog. Cooling it off, pulling the air filter tricks blah blah blah may show slight gains.

As for race gas comments, the car had a near full tank of gas.A bit difficult to put gas on top of gas to any substantial effect.

Cars dyno 8-15 hp different all the time day in and day out run to run, just asking any shop that does what we do everyday.

In conclusion- Gm built a lightweight, strong chassis, powerful emissions friendly car ....... Good job

I think 417 is the outlier (race gas??) and 400 ish to just over is truth. But it puts it down really well as evidenced bu the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times which are right in line with that power.

Look what I found -

The result: All of it, and more! On Addiction Motorsports’ Dynojet, the 2016 Camaro SS with the six-speed manual threw down a stout 405.2 hp and 405.4 lb-ft at the wheels on its best run, with power and torque increasing with each of our three pulls.

Looks consistant to me !

Very similar, 402-405hp in the c7 threads I read.

Yep, weight lines up exactly, even taking the missing fuel into account.
