Corvette or 2ss both convertibles?
I built the yellow 2ss convertible fully loaded with NPP, nav and Magride and it came to $52,775. I built a 2LT Z51 with NPP and Magride which came to $72,540 or $20k more. But if I order a Vette, I will get 10% off or $7254 plus $1000 rebate. If I buy a stock one (no yellow tho) I get 13% or about $9000 and the $1000 rebate. So now I'm only $10k to $12k difference. It's still a lot extra, but much closer then I would think. Another reason of thinking is what my trade in value is on my Camaro. Msrp was $48000 and I still have 6 months of bumper to bumper warranty left, yet it's only worth $22000. It has less then 9000 miles. My Vette dealer is the 2nd largest in the country and is selling a 2014 2LT that had a msrp of $67000 for $58000. So looks like the Vette holds much better value thus makes up for the increase. My head hurts just trying to make a choice.

The new Camaro is very close to the Corvette. Same engine and close to the same speed. Both are very, very good cars. You really need to drive both to determine which you like the most. Having a 5th Gen Camaro and a new Corvette both are great to drive but very different. The Camaro sits much higher with more interior space and a trunk. The Corvette is a great GT car. A recent 1200 trip yielded almost 30 mpg at an average 75 mph. Spend time in both cars and let your heart decide.

No question, it is a tough choice. Having seen the Camaro Convertible at Camaro Fest last year, it is a very cool car with a great hard shell tonneau cover but a very, very small trunk with the top down. The Corvette with the top down will give you more space for luggage. Although driving them is important it is just as important just sitting in them for a while at the dealership to get a feel for sitting in them. I understand about not buying a first year vehicle. Good luck with your decision.
