Screen Protector

I had a screen protector on my 5th Gen, and that was not a very important screen. I am not seeing where I can buy one for the 8 inch touchscreen. Anyone have any info on this?

I guess if Push came to shove I could buy an iPad protector and cut it to fit.

The clear one. I don't really like the matte finishes of anti-glare screen protectors.

While I get a screen protector on a phone, not really sure why this is needed? Seems like a waste of $.

I guess you just never know when that one dirty abrasive fingers moves across the screen and puts a small hairline scratch on it or something to that nature. Glad someone brought this up and definitely ordering one! Luckily this screen is not like my BMW or Maxima's was or else first wipe to clean with anything will leave scratches on the soft screen.

This screen is made real well, appeers real durable. If you are careful, nothing is really needed to protect. I use a real spft and thick MF towel or the screen wipe that Becky sent out.

agreed, the screens that are glass-like really don't scratch, but do what makes you feel right

I have just left my factory screen protector on mine for now. My wife keeps pestering me to remove and I do not see why. Yes there is bubbles but I like it and do not mind bubbles. Would hate scratches.

I've coated most of my electronic devices' glass (phone, laptop), glossy screens with a few coats of the car polish I use. It creates a protective layer that prevents hairline scratches, and makes them easier to clean. I reapply twice a year or so - works great!

(And nothing to get air bubbles out from under)

As long as you don't use long nails or keys to operate it, it's pretty damn durable. I even accidentally hit my jacket zipper on the screen and nothing. Trust me that won't happen again lol.
