Is it possible to make 500 crank hp form an ls3 with bolt ons?

Just wondering how easy it would be to make 500 at the crank with bolt ons and what would need to be done to achieve that.

Oh and I have a 2012 ss ls3.
Thanks

To get to 500 your going to need a CAM or some kind of boost. I don't think you'll need to worry about doing any internals as long as your not going to far above 500 though.

Nitro will get you there the cheapest. But it's also the easiest and cheapest way to destroy an engine.

Yea I'm not looking to blow the motor. Maybe a cam is the answer.

Where I come from, a carb is a carburetor, so I am confused here on two counts:

1) These cars do not have carburetors
2) I have been playing with stupid hotrods since 1989 and I've never had to worry about a cam that was 'illegal' for use with a carburetor

Headers, tune, ported TB, CAI will probably get you to somewhere in the 480 crank HP range. Add 3:91 gears andit will "feel" like 500 HP!

He's talking about California emissions laws. "CARB" standing for California Air Resources Board.

I think he means C.A.R.B. Cali is tough on emissions, and I see he has CA listed as his location.

We're talking emission compliance, not carburetors.

For the OP, get an Arizona license outside the metro areas.

I am not 100% sure on this one some one else is better answering this part, if you put a factory blower on it, carb still approved. With a cam swap does this throw check engine light...Talk to some tuners here in California.
