Oil Consumption- Chevy Boning me

I have a 2015 v6 LS Camaro, I have put an injen CAI and the MRTV 1 axel back. I've been consuming about a quart every 150 miles and chevy says that it is because of the after market parts and they are flagging my car for oil consumption. Can anybody weigh in on this, Thanks.

That's hogwash. Put the stock airbox back on it and go to a different dealer.

Did you install your CAI correctly?

I'd call corporate, f&*k that dealer.

Make them prove that the mods you have done are in fact the culprit. Unless they can prove it, they have to fix under warranty

You can sue them, they have to prove the mods caused the failure.

Look up The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act.

They can't prove their case because they haven't torn down the engine to determine what is wrong with it...... So they really don't know.

Now if your CAI was installed incorrectly somehow as to allow extra air into the engine and cause it to run lean... then yeah, maybe they'd have a chance.

Put your stock airbox back on, see if it still burns oil. If it does, take it back in to another dealership.

Take it to a different dealer have them do a leak down test and pin point the issue. Likely either rings or valve seals are the problem, neither of which your aftermarket parts could cause to fail.

Is it leaking it or burning it? If it's burning it,it should look like a locomotive. Either should be covered.. Seems like K&N says something to the effect that there CAIs doesn't void the warranty.Might try getting something from Injen in writing.

Would it be the dealers responsibility to prove the after market part caused the problem or would he have to prove that the after market part did not cause the problem.

Dealer needs to prove, or at least give reason as to why they are not covering it...
