catch can install

i will be getting my catch can today in the mail so i think i am going to install it today with a friend. how hard of an install is it? and any tips or tricks? its the rx catch can

did you guys use the stock hoses? or purchase more, i didnt connect it tonight because it looked like i needed more hose

I used more hose, just be carefull on they way it connects, I heard people blowing out there rear seals.

Very simple install. Simply but a line and slip the hose on. But another thing to be certain is that the drain valve is closed. You can check this by placing your finger on the drain and if you feel any suction then its open if not then your good.

JUST what I needed to read SOME PEOPLE have BLOWN out there rear SEALS!!!!!!! Now I know I'm not trying this Myself ???? YIKES <<<<

The only time this has happened is when people hook up the lines backwards and even then there are very few people this has happened to. I wouldn't worry to much about it. Both the Elite and Rx come with instructions while they are not the best they will guide you through it. And you can post up a picture on the forum when your done for us to verify for an extra safety measure

where did you guys pick up the extra hose from? would i have to go to my dealer or can i just pick it up at an autozone or a home improvement store

O'Reilly's or any auto parts store. I had to go with blue hose the first go round because they didn't have black that day!!
