Question about climate controls?

So if I hit a button for the various vent/defrost positions... How do you turn them off. I obviously know the knob turns it all off... But the last button pushed stays lit regardless?

They were all off when I bought car... Every since I first turned it on, the last button stays on. There has to be something dumb I'm missing.

That's just how it is, been that way since the 10's, but I'm a bit surprised that they haven't changed it by now?

You can turn the fan all the way off (some swear they can still hear it), but the last vent position always remains lit.

Did you try pushing the button again to turn it off?

If you press the defrost button before you turn the car off, the next time you turn on the car the vent light will be off

Thanks... I'll try this.

I have definitely tried pressing the lit button again, twice, holding buttons, etc. Either way, it's a poor design to not be able to get them to turn off since '10. This definitely bothers customers with a little OCD.

Press one of the buttons on the left knob. It will turn the light off for the defrost button.

I found that when I even turned the left knob all the way off while driving you can still feel air passing through the vents, but if you push the recycle or circulate button, it will shut off the air flow completely because the system is trying to use that function but the power is off so no air can pass through, at least that's my thought lol

I've tried pressing the defrost... doesn't seem to work either. It's always showing it just the way I left after I turn the car back on.

I could never turn it all the way off in my 2005 Colorado either. I hated that!
