Top gear compared the caprice ppv to the charger and Taurus. Since the SS is basically a caprice you could see its no corvette in the comparison.

Not really. The Caprice is a family sedan.



The comparison to a Corvette would come from Holden HSV.



The HSV E3 GTS has MRC and other performance enhancements.



The other significant factor is the Caprice is built on the VE chassis or ZETA. The Camaro is built on ZETA II and the new SS will arrive on the VF chassis or ZETA III. I could be wrong, but I am expecting a ZL1 like SS.

We did a few modifications to a G8 and out ran a Z06 and a few other 'performance cars at VIR almost four years ago. VIR was perfect for the Pedders USA G8 as a high speed track. At a tighter technical track in Michigan (Gingerman) we struggled to keep up with a C6 GS.

The SS isn't a Caprice. It's a Commodore. Two different cars.

neither was he, he just mentioned what chassis the camaro was built on and what chassis the new SS sedan will be built on, and it's not a caprice.

I'd trade in my camaro and get one if the price point was close to the camaro.

I dont want to burst anyone bubbles for a cheaper price but i totally exspect this to sell for 40 to 47k when it is launched to compete with the srt 8 charger cause that is the same price point that is in.
