All Detroit 5th Gen Members - we need to hold a Business Meeting.
The purpose is to organize our group. We need to establish how
new members can join, appoint someone to keep that info, decide
on dues and when it will be collected......and other such stuff.

The date will be Friday June 24th, but the question is where? We
need somewhere that we can all sit down and discuss these matters.
I have offered the dealership, but if someone can come up with
something more central, it could work out better for everyone.

Any ideas?

Would the metro parks have shelter incase of rain?

Spoke to Alfie, he's thinking about where we could
meet on the eastside. Actually if we keep it up Woodward
or even Telegraph, it kind of keeps things centralized
and easier for everyone to come to.

Yes many of the metro parks have shelters

My 20 year reunion is on the 24th and my graduation party is on the 25th :(

I may skip the reunion tho.

I just sent the following PM to Becky that I'll paste here;

I like the Belle Isle idea There is no location more central for all of us (Downriver, Pontiac, and Mt Clemens) than Downtown Detroit The possible locations that are relatively safe and clean near East Jefferson are many....we ain't talking about something next to a crack house. Just make sure it has sufficient parking close by.

Give it a couple of days, I or someone else, familiar with the East/Jeff parks should be able to come up with a suggestion.

Your thoughts?

I'm down w/Belle Isle..... I'm actually working right there @ Jefferson & Van Dyke @ the UAW International Headquarters. I've been over there in the last week and it seemed O.K to me. There is sufficient shelter area for a meeting. I think we could make it work for us. I'll go over there again sometime this week and find a sweet spot for us if you guys give me the green light!!

There is a nice spot on the south side of the island right on the water facing Canada. I'll actually stop next time i'm there and see if you need a reservation for that particular shelter. Probably will be the end of this week or beginning of next week. Stay tuned!!
