A joke...

Is the door lock button on the passenger door up or down? Press the remote unlock twice to see if it is unlocked then.

the door lock button goes up and down with the remote and the switches on both doors, just wont open using the handle on the inside or outside.

Take it to the dealer then it sounds like the rod to either the door lock in the latch or the latch release may have come off.
Did you buy this car new? If you bought it used it may have been wrecked and not fixed correctly.

I guess the latch itself could also be broken and won't release.

Old thread but I'm having the same problem. Is there anyway to get the door panel off with the door closed? Or any suggestions on getting it open?

I went through a problem like this on another car, the door latch broke internally and the door was stuck closed. After looking at what a pain in the ass it would be to get the door open to get to the latch i took it to a mechanic and paid about $500, the interior pieces around the door need removed then the door latch can be drilled from the inside of the car, then the door can be opened and the interior door panel removed to change out the latch. Major pita

Oh I definitely don't want to have to spend that kind of money to repair it. I really hope I can find a cheaper alternative.
