I would not assume these cars will be better in 2018 than they are now. Ford and Chevy are making the best models of these cars they ever have and probably ever will. From everything I've read, the SS 1LE gives you the most bang for the buck, but when I tried to buy one I didn't find it priced at what I was lead to believe. I hope you can get a V8 Camaro sometime. I would leave this one stock so when I traded it in a couple years it would not be upside down.

I think if you are weighing modding in 5 years between buying a new one in five years you may be better not modding until you see the next gen. That being said I am skeptical there will be a v8 SS in the sixth gen camaro so trading to an SS or above could ensure that you arent obsolete

I don't want to turn this into a CAI thread either, but, do not get a K&N. Get a CAI from C.A.I. or ADM, RotoFAB. This is a great place to start. Get a job to solve the broke-college-student issue.

Love my k&n huge difference over stock. 69 typhoon is awesome 16 HP gain.

I see you have a V6. And the OP has a V6. I may have put my foot in my mouth. I just have not heard the K&N's being the top CAI's for the V8.
